Police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a yellow Honda motorcycle, which occurred on the A490, between Welshpool and Guilsfield, at approximately 1.45pm. Sadly, a 21-year-old man, who was riding the MSX 125 bike, died at the scene. Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the bike travelling through Welshpool and Guilsfield shortly before the collision. A fatal road traffic collision occurred near Welshpool, yesterday (Saturday, 16 November).
The collision, involving three cars – a red BMW X3, blue Audi S4, and white Toyota Yaris – occurred on the A483 at Belan, at approximately 6.15pm. The red BMW and the blue Audi were travelling northbound, while the white Toyota was travelling in the opposite direction (southbound). Sadly, the driver of the white Toyota Yaris died at the scene. A child passenger of the same car was air lifted to hospital with serious injuries. HM coroner and next of kin is aware. Specially trained police officers are supporting their family. One man, aged 29 years has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving. A second man, aged 33 years has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A three car collision occurred at 9.45pm involving a silver BMW, a silver Renault, and a black Audi. Two people were taken to hospital, and one was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. At around 07.20 am there was a road traffic collision on the B4393 near Llandrinio bridge involving a white Vauxhall van and a black Kawasaki motorcycle, sadly, the 22 year old rider died at the scene. Anyone who may have been travelling along the B4393 near Llandrinio bridge at the time, is asked to contact police. Regretfully at 08:50 on Friday a 59 year old man died at the scene of a road traffic collision (RTC) and his seven year old female passenger was airlifted to hospital and is fighting for her life. The RTC involved his grey Audi S3 saloon car which was travelling towards Welshpool, and a blue Volvo heavy goods vehicle which was travelling towards Mile End. Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a motorbike and a car, in Powys.
The collision happened on the A483 between Llanbister and Llanbadarn Fynydd (the main road between Llandrindod Wells and Newtown) at around 12.45pm today (Saturday, 25 May). The orange KTM motorcycle was travelling northbound towards Llanbadarn Fynydd when it collided with a car. Sadly, the motorcyclist died at the scene. His family have been informed and they are being supported by specially trained police officers. Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A470 at Storey Arms at just before 9.50pm (Tuesday, February 27).
The collision involved a red Ford Fiesta and a blue Volvo estate. The driver of the Fiesta has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. The collision involved a pedestrian and a gold Volvo car. The 29-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital. The accident happened around 7.30am on the A458 near to Bank Farm Caravan Park and involved a blue Honda Civic and a white service bus, which were travelling towards Shrewsbury, and a dark red Ford Fiesta which was travelling towards Welshpool. Police have confirmed this morning that the 87-year-old female driver and sole occupant of the Ford Fiesta sustained serious injuries and passed away in hospital later the same day. The driver of the Honda was taken to hospital. The bus did not have any passengers and the driver was uninjured. Dyfed Powys Police are appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred on the A470 between Rhayder and Llangurig at around 8.55am, Sunday morning, 8th October 2023. Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a three-vehicle collision which happened on the B4362 between Presteigne and Combe at around 2.10pm on Wednesday, October 4. A blue Suzuki motorbike, a silver Ford Transit van and a white Renault Megane were involved, with the motorbike rider sustaining serious injuries. It is believed the Ford and Renault were travelling eastbound towards Leominster, with the motorbike going in the opposite direction. The bike came into conflict with the van, then collided with the car. At shortly before 9pm a grey coloured Saab and a Honda CB1100 were in collision on the A438 between Bronllys and Pontybat, a short distance from the Bronllys roundabout. The rider of the motorbike sustained multiple serious injuries and remains in hospital where his condition is described as critical. Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the grey Saab travelling in the general direction of Brecon, or the motorcycle travelling towards the general direction of Bronllys. A woman and two-year-old are fighting for their lives tonight after today’s collision on the border which close the main A458 road to Shrewsbury. The accident happened around 11am and involved a green DAF lorry and a red Vauxhall Astra car.
The car's female driver along with her young child both received life-threatening injuries, the woman was flown by air-ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and the child flown by air-ambulance to Birmingham Children's Hospital. The lorry driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by road ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury University Hospital.

A fatal RTC occurred on the A44 near Nantmel on Tuesday April 4 at approx. 1.50pm.
The collision involved a white Toyota Hilux and a grey BMW motorcycle. Both vehicles were travelling in the direction of Rhayader. Sadly the male motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The pillion sustained serious injuries and was conveyed by air ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.

following an incident at around 2.50am this morning where a car mounted the kerb and struck two pedestrians outside the Grill Out takeaway. Both pedestrians were transferred to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by ambulance. Sadly one of them, a 22-year-old woman, died shortly after arrival. Her family have been informed. The second person sustained minor injuries. The vehicle involved is believed to be a light gold/champagne coloured Volvo. The vehicle and its driver have not yet been located.

Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for information following a collision that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
Officers were called to the A470 between Llanidloes and Llandinam at around 11.25am on Saturday, 6 August, following a three-vehicle collision involving a grey Volvo XC90, a white BMW 330i and a red and white Yamaha FZ1 motorcycle.
Tragically, the 46-year-old rider of the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours and reopened at 10.50pm. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Officers attended the scene immediately, where the car - a blue Ford Fiesta, was found on its roof. Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the A483, between Llanbister and Camnant, at approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday, 16th March.
The two-vehicle collision involved a white Toyota Yaris and a Volkswagen Passat. A 20-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman were both taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries. One man and two children were also taken to hospital with suspected minor injuries, before being released. The 20-year-old woman remains in hospital and has been described as stable but sadly, the 36-year-old woman later passed away.

A Land Rover collided with a public transport bus after an oncoming vehicle caused it to break but thankfully, nobody was injured. Officers attended to assist with the blockage to the road and recovery of the vehicles. The local authority were informed due to spillages on the road. Both vehicles were recovered at approximately 12:10pm. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the oncoming vehicle involved in the incident.
