DO NOT PANIC !
Many things can cause chest pains, it does not mean you are having a heart attack.
Chest pains can be caused by something as simple as indigestion, stress and worry causing anxiety, or by sudden general exertion. It can also be caused by reactions to medications, exposure to gases or inflamatory agents. Or by long term medical issues such as Asthma, Bronchitis or Empysemia.
It is important to immediately find out the type of pain and the reason behind it, and to take steps to prevent it from escalting further.
If patient is conscious and breathing, sit them down, preferably against a wall. Loosen all tight clothing around the neck chest and waist, give them space and do not crowd around them, keep patient still and constantly observe and reassure. Do not give drinks or food.

Many of us are now taught First-Aid as a requirement for work, and it is law to have a qualified first-aider in any office, factory or workspace that has more than five persons.
But as parents we should learn first-aid in case something happens to our children at home, on way to and from school or at the park.
