There are now simulators for much more than flying or racing, there are educational simulators, simulators that imitate real-life occupations, you can be a fireman, accident investigator, even a surgeon performing operations. Of course they are not the real thing, but as are the driving or flying simulators they are still useful as a basic learning tool as well as giving hours of enjoyment when playing them.
