CAN I ADVERTISE MY BUSINESS?
WOO wanted to promote individuals, groups, and businesses that give back to the community and provide help and assistance. So it will place adverts for these free of charge.
If you believe you qualify to advertise for free, then by all means send me a copy of your advert, or a graphic of your logo, along with a description of what you do, and information on how to contact you.
It has never accepted paid advertising
WOO has always been a non-profit website, paid for out of my own pocket ever since its inception. Not an easy task to achieve when you are unable to work due to long-term illness and are on limited benefits.
It can cost a lot to keep running, what with Domain hosting charges, Domain name registration, Equipment purchase and maintenance, Phone charges, and the high Electric bills for the many hours spent online creating and updating the site.
I do not want it to become reliant on sales of advertising.
But I would be open for sponsorship.
So if you like what you see, and want your own companies logo attached to each section of the website with the words 'Sponsored by', along with a dedicated section containing your information and ways to contact, with hyperlinks that direct viewers to your own website.

Look at the various adverts and entries throughout the WOO website, any one of these can be used to create your advert.
It can utilise animation via a .gif graphic to attract the eyes attention. Or you could even use a video.

Do you have a video about your business?.
Your advert could include that video if it is hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. Immediately playable in the box as seen here, or enlarged to full screen size.
Movement and colour attracts the eyes and gains additional attention.
Many animated images are available on the internet in .gif format. There is also a range of free software that can create animated writing.
If you create your own advert and supply it to us in the animated .gif format then it will display animated on all static and scrolling adverts.

A banner header will show the sponsor name and logo at the top of the section.
a larger bottom advert for the sponsor will appear at the base of the section.
For those who do not have their own business website, a full page advert can be created and linked to from the smaller adverts.
Additional adverts can be placed within the scrolling individual town advertising.
Additional static adverts can be placed within the individual town advertising.
Although at the moment only covering several small towns in the Mid-Wales area, Woo is currently getting around 100 - 140 views per day (January 2019 figures shown) and peaking at 180 daily views during October. This amazing figure is growing fast, and is expected to grow even more as the number of towns covered increases.
Describing WOO in a few words is not easy, the best way to find out how useful WOO can be is to explore it and see.
WOO wishes to be as environmentally friendly as possible, by reducing the use and need of paper leaflets and directories. And by promoting recycling ideas and practices.
WOO wishes to give back to the commuinity, by providing the helpful information they may need all in one place, by creating awareness of local events, and involving the local community with its specialist sections of interest.
WOO wishes to be non-political, unbiased and non-disciminatory.
WOO wants to promote local businesses, groups, individuals and events. Promoting not only the town itself but Wales as a whole, showing off our beautiful scenery, many interesting places, extroadinary talent, heritage, history and it's culture.
It also wishes to support where possible the many worthy charities and non-profit making groups, that give so much to our local communities and who make us proud to live in Wales. By providing free advertising space to help promote awareness.

WOO ensures that only the minimum information is recorded and stored safely, this will include the necessary Customer Data for those paying for advertising which includes :-
Business name, business address, contact name, business phone number, business email address, dates of advertisement periods and dates of payments.
No other personal information will be stored, and no information will be shared with other companies.
