Visitors staying in the area might be a little disappointed when they turn on their televisions. where most areas of the UK have up to 99 television channels, we have only a few. We DO have the old basics BBC 1, 2, 4, / ITV 1,2, 3, X, / Ch4, Ch5, More 4, Film 4 plus a few 'Plus 1' channels, but don't expect to be able to watch Dave, Quest, Pick or Yesterday.
Radio too can be intermittent due to the hills, and Digital radio is very rare with few channels.
But if you have an internet connection, you can view most TV channels, and listen to your favourite radio using WOO-TV.

PUT THE BRAKES ON SALOP ROAD
The residents along Salop Road are fed up with the constant noise of fast moving traffic and 'Boy Racers', and are getting together to try to push the council to reduce the unecessary day and night use by heavy lorries using it as a short cut to the bypass. They are also appealing for motorists in general to slow down on this narrow stretch of road which along with the one-way system is being used by some as a race track.
The pavements along Salop Road are very narrow, passing vans and lorries forget that their mirrors overhang the pavement and several people have been struck by them as they race past. Crossing the road is a gamble to life, especially at the Red Bank junction where visibility is very poor and made worse by drivers failing to indicate they are turning up into Red Bank or into the hospital turning.
Reporting Dangerous Driving and Anti-Social Behaviour on the road
Many of us now carry a mobile phone with the ability to take photographs and short videos. If you witness dangerous driving events or occurances of anti-social behaviour using vehicles, you can now send these to the Police so they can take action.
Try to get a clear shot of the vehicle registration numbers, but do not place yourself at any risk to get a good photograph. and definitely do not take pictures while driving.
Try to hold the camera horizontally if taking a picture or video, this will give a wider shot containing more information.
